This series is a play on the word “Zeitgeist,” which refers to a way of thinking that is emblematic for a certain time. “Zeig,” meaning show, comes together with “Geist,” meaning ghost or spirit, which echoes Lucas Stolz's intent of showcasing the ghosts of his artistic process.
Zeiggeist Cycles are all circular works which engage with the ambiguity of language. Each piece can rotate freely on its axis, which enhances the constant change of aspect and feeling which emanates from its vibrant colours.
